Any involved dads out in the Ridgewood, NJ area?

Hey out there.

Well, it's official. My family and I will be pulling up stakes this summer to move to Ridgewood, NJ. We're pretty excited about the move and if you happen to live in the area, or know other good people around those parts, it'd be great to connect. Shoot me an email at dhglazer@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from ya! Thanks!

Good luck living in Ridgewood. You have just entered the time machine of the 1950's. Stay at home moms with real nasty, arrogant attitudes, dads who are pompous and rarely at home. Probably out having affairs. When they are involved, they are involved in sports. And, boy oh boy--- live vicariously through their kids. Oh, my, did I forget something? You are NOTHING in this lousy, miserable place without a minimum of three kids, Mercedes or Beamers and a vodka in hand. I rue the day I moved to this lovely looking but demented and twisted place.
The town motto is "Ridgewood Cares". Actually, it's "Ridgewood could CARE LESS". No one is there to help in case of emergency. It's a hoax. It's also a very racist and class oriented town. Too bad, since it's a pretty town. But mental madness and the "bizarro" world lurks behind. Buyer beware.

Hi Lauren-

Well, glad someone finally reacted to this blog. Sorry to hear you have had such a tough time in the town. I've certainly heard what you've described before and there's great truth to that. On the other hand, I was happily surprised to meet our next door neighbor who is a (shock!) work-at-home dad. Life is strange that way, huh? Anyway, if you're still in the area and open to more open-minded folk, shoot me an email. dhglazer@hotmail.com. The outreach on this blog entry always stands.
